Elephant Mountain Gallery

Elephant Mountain Gallery is the only mountain lifestyle photo gallery in south-central British Columbia. Named for the landmass across the lake from beautiful Nelson, BC, the gallery showcases the work of the best outdoor photographers in the region. From macro close-ups of delicate alpine flowers to pictures of grizzly bears foraging in old-growth forests to dramatic action shots of skiers and mountain bikers, Elephant Mountain Gallery offers something for everyone.

Vince and Melissa opened the gallery in June 2008 and their intentions were two-fold – they wanted to create a cool space in which to work on their various projects as well as inspire, encourage and support the photographic community in the West Kootenays. And so far it’s worked! Not only did we have to move the gallery into a larger space on the busiest street in Nelson to keep up with demand, we’re also visited by new photographers every week asking to display their art on the gallery’s walls.
