Kootenay Bride Magazine and Online Directory

We launched Kootenay Bride in February 2008 with a three-fold mission: showcase the beautiful Kootenay region in south-central British Columbia as a stunning wedding destination; provide stories and guidelines that not only help engaged couples plan their wedding but entertain them along the way; and finally, we wanted to promote local businesses involved in the wedding industry here.

Since then we’ve published tonnes of beautiful photographs and great articles in Kootenay Bride. We’ve put wedding retailers and professionals on the map and we’ve attended bridal shows from Calgary to Castlegar. Our favourite part about all of this, though, is introducing people to the wonders of the Kootenays. We’ll never forget the Calgary Bridal Show attendee who looked at the magazine and cried, “There’s beautiful sandy beaches in BC?! Why am I spending thousands to go to Jamaica?”

Indeed there are beautiful beaches here along with spectacular mountain meadows, tepid turquoise lakes, all forms of recreation from mountain biking to natural hot springs and some of the most talented wedding professionals in the country.
